Services for Ukrainian refugees

Since the war between Russia and Ukraine began on Feb. 24, 2022, an estimated more than 5 million Ukrainians have fled their homes to seek safety in neighboring countries. The sudden influx of refugees has generated a lot of needs among several Eastern European countries including Poland, Romania, Hungary, Moldova, and Slovakia. One of the most urgent needs is to provide shelter for refugees in these neighboring countries. As the war intensifies and prolongs, more will lose their homes and be displaced. Not only they need a safe place to stay, food and medical attentions, they also need the message of hope and healing. The Ukrainian families are hurting and in desperate need of your prayer. We want to meet their needs at their darkest moments by letting them know Jesus is the light of the work and hope of our lives.

The Church of God in UK, which the Light and Love Home is affiliated with, has established a shelter in Zabrze, Poland to provide food and more importantly a home for the Ukrainian refugees. The goal is to provide them with a long-term place to stay so they can resume a somewhat normal life, kids to restart schools and adults to look for jobs and/or participate in running the shelter. We also seek to provide a safe and healthy social and spiritual life for them. Many volunteers from the Church of God in different countries such as England and United States, and Hong Kong are participating in helping the Ukrainians.

In such a large-scale relieving effort, a lot of financial helps from all sectors are needed. The money received through Light and Love Home will be used to provide accommodation, food, and other daily necessities for the Ukrainians.
